MISSION.

In 2025, the Full Circle North Pole Team aims to honor the legacy of Matthew Henson, the first African American to reach the North Pole, by sharing his story, raising awareness about climate change, and successfully reaching the North Pole.

OUR
GOAL.

Our goal is to inspire future generations to engage in outdoor activities, expand their educational horizons, and maintain a sense of curiosity about adventure. The 2025 Full Circle North Pole Expedition is a significant event in exploration. It commemorates Matthew Henson, the first African American to reach the North Pole in 1909. The expedition will be composed of a team of Black explorers.
